Day 9 ... June 26
We boon docked at a Sam’s Club in Fort Wayne, IN Sunday
night. After watching our overhead TV, Keith failed to put away his toys. Taking the lazy route, he placed the remote control on the ledge under the TV instead of putting it away in the cabinet. A very short distance into our trip the remote came crashing down onto the center console striking poor defenseless Minnie Mouse shattering her snow globe. Glass, water, and “sparkles” exploded all over the place.
Our travels today included Indiana, Illinois, and Wisconsin. Temperatures today have ranged from 68 to 82 to 77 to 85 to 71 to 88 to 92 due to a heavy downpour (all within an hour or so). We decided to stay over at the Madison Wisconsin KOA in DeForest, WI. It’s a small campground just off the interstate. Luckily they offer free WiFi so we are able to bring you up to date. Other than the Minnie Mouse incident, Keith has done extremely well today. He paid all of his tolls and hasn’t “misplaced” any more items.

Day 7 … June 24
We stayed in Lancaster County, PA at Old Mill Stream Campground for four nights. While there we enjoyed visiting with our friends (Jerry & Donna and Diane & Jim) and meeting new friends (Lee & Jacob) and driving through the Amish countryside. Our good friend John (with Quality Matters RV Repair) installed new toppers on our slides and gave the coach a once-over maintenance check preparing us for our trip. We spent Friday night at a Flying J along our route to Mount Eaton, Ohio.
Finally, at approximately 12:54 p.m., Saturday, June 23 (day 6) (782 miles into the trip), an “historical event” transpired, Keith finally passed a vehicle, a car with an elderly woman behind the wheel. Keith is such a rebel “ha ha ha!!!!” No worries, approximately 3 miles later she passed us (with a huge smile on her face).
We arrived at Evergreen RV Resort on Saturday and spent two nights there. We met some really nice people who shared exciting places of interest to visit during our travels and some helpful RV advice. (Thanks Jim & Raye and John & Darlene.) Our next few days will be travel days. We will be boon docking along our route on our way to South Dakota.

Day 1 ... Retired Trooper Breaks the Law
Monday, June 18, 2007 just 2 hours and 58 minutes into the trip our illustrious law enforcer broke the law. Fugitives (Bonnie & Clyde) are on the run for failure to pay a toll and fleeing cross state lines. While traveling on Delaware SR-1, Retired Sergeant Elzey failed to negotiate a toll lane, subsequently traveling through a fast-pass lane (without a fast-pass). At the time of this entry, he has still eluded capture. (Please check NCIC.)
The fugitives are said to be living among the Amish somewhere in Lancaster County, PA. See you next time.
